Council of Arkansas Reflexologists (C.A.R.)

Practitioners and supporters of Reflexology in Arkansas!

The C.A.R. was formed in May 2008 as an independent mutual benefit corporation with the intent of supporting, expanding and   promoting the field of Reflexology in Arkansas.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is an ancient artistic science.  A practitioner typically applies alternating pressure with thumb, finger, and hand techniques upon a "mini map" of the body found on the feet, hands, and/or ears.  One works upon reflex areas (stimulating the nervous system) which correspond to all major glands, organs, body systems and their functions.  The work  focuses  primarily upon a relaxation response allowing the body to heal itself from the inside out. Specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed, however change does occur!

CAR Objectives

As an association, we intend to provide practitioners a means of networking and expanding educational opportunities.  Our group will support legislative matters that affect our skilled and professional work.  We will work to promote Reflexology and share information with both our members and the general public.

Our Board of Directors is dedicated to upholding high ethical standards of practice and  to serving with integrity and respect for all members of the C.A.R.
